  1. Playing games is fun and all, but math is also fun. Post random math equations that you have solved or seen that you found interesting.
    One that I did yesterday: What would the result be if every human on Earth opened their mouth at once and filled it with water from the ocean?
    Known information
    Average surface area of an adult's mouth: ~214.7 centimeters^2
    Estimated volume of the world's oceans: 1.3 billion kilometers^3
    Population of the earth as of 2014: ~7,000,000,000
    Using this information, we can begin to solve.
    Converting centimeters to meters to kilometers
    ~214.7 centimeters becomes 2.147 becomes 0.002147 kilometers
    Using this information, letting x = the total capacity of a human mouth for water
    x = 0.002147 x 7,000,000,000
    x = 15,029,000
    x = 15,029,000 kilometers^3
    Also known as ~15 million kilometers^3
    As you can already tell, this is nowhere near to the estimated volume of the ocean.
    In fact, we can see the difference with another equation.
    Letting y = the difference in the estimated volume of the ocean and the capacity of all human mouths on earth
    y = 15,000,000,000 - 15,000,000
    y = 14,985,000,000 kilometers^3
    As a matter of fact, we would barely make a dent in the ocean's capacity. Really makes you think how big the Earth really is, huh.
    If I made any mistakes in my math, please point them out :)

  2. After long search I found this equation: 1+1=2
  3. 9+10=21

  4. That got annoying really fast at my school
  5. 9+10=21
    9=3 x 3 10 = 5 x 2
    I--I---------I I
    I----------- I
    3 x 5 = 15
    3 x 2 = 6
    15 + 6 = 21
