  1. Yes this is still something I am working on. Communication between game servers and web server is a little limited right now but I am working on expanding that :)
  2. I really hope things don't ever get so bad that someone can't get a slot within 10 days. Also, if it is that bad you probably don't even want to keep playing in the empire anymore anyway.

  3. Well before I killed my World of Warcraft account I paid for it for 3 months without actually feeling like logging on, so sometimes it not necessarily the ability to get on so much as the desire.
  4. I think 15 days makes a lot more sense, I am often away from home fore more than 2 weeks at a time and I hardly think I should have to actively remember to email and ask permission before I do this. When I am at home I am an active player.

I do think it needs to be shorter than a month as it is now, because yes there are a lot of unused slots. But 10 days is going to drive a lot of players away when they log back in and see their creations have been wiped.
  5. A lot of key words here. So please understand that this decision is based on core statistics and not just a random number pulled from the mind of Justin.... This is a very sensible action.

Those who have voiced complaints, you fall into this 1% of persons who will return to the Empire after 10 days. You have been provided with a method of alerting Justin and Jeremy of your expected long term absence. If you feel this is not something you can handle, the Empire may not be the best place for you.

You must understand that the Empire hosts an overwhelming amount of players who wish to play on the server. The issue is in the fact that as of right now there are only 3000 residences and yet we have had much more persons apply for membership, claim a lot, and then choose to leave the Empire unannounced.

If you are an active member on both the forums and the server, you are more likely to retain your position in the Empire as you will be aware of all the changes being made to the community.
  6. I like this idea, it will get fresh new buildings on the the server, i see many empty plots already.
I think 10 days isnt very much, but thats just my opinion, i work away alot.

I think a follow up on this idea is that many peopl are going to want a residence nearer the spawn site for watever reason. So passers by see their house and visit
Therefor i propose an idea of moveing house. Yes, you can already de-claim a lot.. and go find a new one... But what I mean is to move your original house to a new empty plot.
    Perhaps this command: /res move 3107 3009 180
    -------------------------: /res move <From> <To> [Rotation]
It might be hard to impliment the Rotation, i dont know how the residence plugin works.
I also propose it should cost between 5,000 to 10,000 rupee's to move your house.

I've spent 3.29 Days on my house so far and Crafted 52,516 wooden planks to make it. I'd hate to have to start again.
  7. You will only have to start again if you go offline for 10 days without informing the staff or even another member, whom you trust to pass the message to the staff in your stead, of your expected absence and a reason for it. Remember as well, Justin is Coding Administrator of the Empire while Jeremy is the Community Administrator.

It is best to realize that this is not an attack on persons who have created elaborate structures on their plots.
Justin and Jeremy are merely trying to open up unused residences that have been claimed by users who have either been permanently banned or who have quit visiting and participating in the community all together.

This is not going to effect the Empire's active users or its supporters. Although I am a supporter and will not have my residence or membership removed unless I discontinue my supporter subscription, I do not merely visit once every 10 days. I am here every day, typically at the end of the day. On occasion I receive extended weekends or short work days, which allows me to be here for much more time.

In addition, remember, if you are only here for the server, this may not be the best place for you either.. The Empire is a community, not just a central hub for controlled chaos. :)
  8. Let me do a little math on 15 days to see how it would impact the residential economy :) thanks for all the input everyone

  9. Hey Twitch, My reference to hateing to have to start again was if i wished to move plot of land.

Im not worried about loosing my house, I love the server and I love the community.
I'd be more than happy to become a supporter. =)
  10. Oh ok. :) Yea, *if* porting homes would be possible, this would be interesting but kind of messy in my opinion. A lot of arguments would arise to who deserves what lot when it comes down to the moving portion.. It would also stunt your creativity a bit, where starting with a new residence would give you an opportunity to redesign your entire project. ;)
  11. If you spend that much time in the empire you could always consider becoming a supporter. In my opinion 5 bucks a month for that kind of enjoyment is a pretty amazing deal. And you get peace of mind with it because this whole 10 day business doesn't apply to supporters.
  12. I did not realise that if i have the newest update of minecraft that i would not be able to join so therefor i well not join for a long time.
  13. if you search there is a post on how to downgrade

or you can go download spoutcraft and keep that at 1.8
  14. It is written. Thou Shalt Not Question the Admins. It all goes back to simply paying attention folks.
I agree with this updated policy. Every one of my neighbors have yet to show any signs of improving their lot, and it looks to me to be maybe a few hours spent due to the appearance and the blocks used. Bring in some new players with creative ideas and destroy the ones with these half finished fail homes.

  15. i dont think that this is a good idea because i havent been able to actually log on to any of the servers :/ and i wont be on for a while because of school :/
  16. Sorry to say then, but you fall into that 1% category... The weekend is a good time to try, in the evenings but this would merely carry your residence along, not care for it... You do not NEED a residence to enjoy the Empire, but it will be significantly more difficult for you if you do not have one.
  17. there are some things coming in the near future that will address these issues
  18. i got a problem with minecraft and i don't know when i will be back, so will this mean that i loss evrething after 10 days?
  19. Just hang tight Noooby12, just let GameKribJEREMY know you will need an extended grace period for your residence.
  20. my mom only lets me play on days withoutschool and sometimes we have a vacation . can you help me?
