Connection Refused

  1. So on my friends account he keeps getting Java.net.connectionexception: connnect refused errors. I really do not know what to do nor know what this means? We've tried rebooting the computer and disconnection the wifi several times and still no solution! HELP :(

  2. "Connection Refused" can happen because of a lot of things, but the most common time it happens to me is when somebody else is using my account at the same time (My brother). Another common cause of it is if you've had Minecraft up for too long.

    It might also just mean the server you tried to join is down.

  3. Connection refused means that there is no server running on the given port at the given ip.

    It was probably restarting.

    Edit: I am no networking expert so don't quote me on this. >.>

  4. We have 2 people on the same server that he cant connect to, & we are all at the same house:(
