Ocelots on Player Plots?

Discussion in 'Empire Help & Support' started by mimsiegrew, May 11, 2014.

  1. Hey Everyone

Just wondering if there is a restriction to having Ocelots on our plots, as whenever I spawn one into a confined area (over 7x7 in size before you ask!) they disappear after a while. Just wondering if I'm either doing something wrong, or if we are unable to do this on our plots?

Any advice would be appreciated :)

UPDATE: Ocelots must act as monsters on plots - they despawn if you arent within 64 blocks. Also, you can tame Baby Ocelots. Problem solved! Thanks all :)
  2. Well I've tamed them in the wild on another server before without any problems. The problem is, as I'm spawning them with eggs on my plot, they're arriving as kittens. So I'm trying to hold them there until they become adults, and therefore tameable. However before they get a chance to age up, they're despawning... maybe bugging out or something I don't know...

And thanks for the link, but I've already studied that page religiously to try and find out what I'm doing wrong!
  3. Hmm, that's really odd. We have a custom mob counting and despawn system which could be your issue, here's the link for that. :)
  4. Thanks, I'll have a look into it, although I don't have many mobs on my plot already. I'm going to try sitting near it for a while, as the problem has been when I move away to do something else, then come back and it's gone.

I'll try a few things, I just didn't want to keep going if there were some kind of restrictions in place!

Thanks for all your help :)

  5. Kitten's are tameable.
  6. Oh wow, really? I didn't think they were, since I tried that and when I fed it fish, nothing happened. I'll try again! Thank you!
  7. you can make kittens sit at the very least idr if tameable but once they sit they cant escape
