So it hasn't been very long since the news was posted that IceCreamCow and a few other EMC Staff had been demoted. I realize that as the owner of EMC Aikar has the complete right to demote staff that aren't doing there job completely. However, IceCreamCow was more than just any staff member. He was a part of the original EMC, one of the founders. I'm not saying that Aikar should pay him or anything, I have no right to comment there; but I do believe that having someone so vital to EMC as a mere Diamond Supporter is wrong. Whether this be a new title or a few extra capabilities on EMC, I do believe that IceCreamCow deserves more. NOTE: This is not a Thread to trash Aikar or EMC in general. Aikar is just trying to keep EMC ambitious, and I do not disagree with that. However, this thread is about the future of ICC. Please feel free to agree/disagree below.
I agree. But there is nothing that we can do about it. Aikar's word is final, and EMC is now without icecreamcow. It will never be the same.
Let's keep this topic on the thread actual thread, we can explain our views there instead of in a brand new thread. Aikar is busy reading the other thread, so express your views there.
Sure ICC is one of the founders of EMC. But remember that he's just like the rest of us. All staff are just like us and all staff get treated the same. If his main priority is somewhere else other than Emc, then Aikar has every right to demote him if he believes that he's not contributing enough to the server. I do love ICC and he's a great guy but maybe this is the right decision?
As of now ICC has gained the Title of "Original EMC Founder." Thank you Aikar for acknowledging his importance.
