Should new players be allowed to skip the tutorial?

  1. Ok, I was on the way home from school and I thought up these two ideas:

1: When you die in the wild/waste you could pay a certain fee to not drop your items (This could be a good supporter perk)
2: Tell new players of the rewards of doing the tutorial. I've had to help out a lot of people that have no idea what EMC is. They come on, skip the tutorial and go, "So whats this server supposed to be?" and, "I build a house in the wild, how do I claim the land?" Very annoying.

    Just something to consider
  2. New players can skip the tutorial?
  3. New player's are required to complete the tutorial, it isn't optional. I just think a lot of people don't pay attention and rush through it, then are surprised when they don't know how EMC works. As to the soulbound items, I'm worried this might take away from the survival aspects of the wilderness, but it's an good suggestion nonetheless.

EDIT: Apparently there has been a change to the tutorial I was unaware of, my apologies.
  4. No, go to the tutorial (/tutorial). They can skip it
  5. It was very recently changed so that new players can skip the tutorial. I personally don't like the idea, but it very likely does support new players joining, they might not leave as soon as they join.

  6. Wait, it was actually changed to allow that? That seems like a really really bad idea, that just ruins the whole point of the tutorial the staff just spent all that time upgrading. What good is new players being able to join easier if they have no idea how to play on EMC and just leave because they're confused or get banned because they didn't read the rules?

  7. I totally agree and if they do the tutorial they get a really nice starter kit. That starter kits lets them get creating right out of the gate.
