Hi everyone, So today i go on log on and see that 1.7.2 came out, and i log into minecraft. Nothing came up asking me if i wanted to download or not. When I try to go to any of the servers, its says 1.6.4, so i guess i cant go on emc untill they download 1.7.2. Just wanted to know about when would EMC be 1.7.2? Thanks!
It's hard to say really, it all depends on how much EMC's code needs to be modified for EMC to run smoothly, it could take anything from a couple of days to a couple of weeks. The only person that can give you a good indication is the man himself (Aikar)
Mojang said they completely rewrote from scratch the way the servers work, so have a fun weekend Aikar! Anyways, it will be a while.
You can find a guide on how to backdate your version using the new launcher. There's a few scattered around on the site.
It's not fancy. Quite literally only a few clicks. You can even go back to alpha versions if you want. Takes no more than a few seconds. Plus, it's a great thing to know.
Yes, as soon as the servers are updated to 1.7, all wasteland worlds will be reset with the new terrain.
