Ever since we launched the supporter subscription program many people have messaged us not wanting to create a PayPal account. Although we still use PayPal as our "merchant" company, you no longer have to create a PayPal account to support You should be able to just go through the process with a credit card. Please let me know if anyone has trouble with this or it doesn't work.
