Hello I cannot seem to find how to make or do a recipe book in emc. The regular crafting recipe doesn't work because it doesn't and Empire says that it takes place of the real book in minecraft but it isn't working for me. Please help me if you know how to do it or if I am doing this wrong.
Are you talking about a mod you downloaded? If so, EMC does not support those kind of mods, therefor it will not work.
It does work because it is on the list of allowed mods in emc as well as some others like invtweeks and optifine.
If it is in the allowed mods, then it means that EMC allows you to download those mods, and not any cheating mods. EMC would require to get a plugin for the recipe book.

Check out posts 1, 7, and 8 in the thread I linked above. You have to modify the configuration file for it to work on EMC.
