  1. Okay, so I recently bought GTA IV on sale, on steam. I easily meet the requirements to run the game on high, but whenever I start the game up it says I am using 202/59mb & won't let me switch out of the 800x600 resolution. I don't know what the 202/59mb is.. I think the game is not recognizing my graphics card.

    My specs are:
    Core I7 @ 3.2ghz
    8gb ddr3 ram
    1tb disk space
    550m Nvidia GeForce 2.0gb
  2. You need to be more specific, What exactly tells you you're using 202/59mb. Can you post screenshots if possible?
  3. well i use a Nvidia Geforce gtx 560 ti, i dont know which one is better it works perfect on my computer

I think it is using my intel graphics instead of Nvidia, I read that Optimus has problems with GTA.
  5. Can you post what's under 'display'? I haven't played this game before so I need to work out what settings it has.
  6. Are you asking for the requirements to play the game?
  7. No - Under the tab 'display'
  8. Its all in game stuff, Language, HUD on/off, ect.
  9. Have you downloaded the latest drivers for your graphics card from Nvidia?

  10. Ok - Try going to nvidia's site and downloading the drivers

Also try completely disabling your Intel GPU in the BIOS (Look up a guide if you need to)

  11. I tried disabling the intel graphics when I first got this computer but it won't work because the card has optimus. Stupid optimus..

    Downloading the drivers right now.
  12. Thank you guys so much, optimus wasn't recognizing it and updating the drivers did the trick!
