  2. I've been playing Tekkit for a long time, and I haven't played properly (other than logging in for a few minutes) on EMC since many months ago. So I've already "quit", so to speak. I plan to stay around on the EMC forums, though.

  4. I'm going to moderate myself a little here. The output will be quite a bit simplified from what I had first intended. Here's the output that I've decided to go for instead. It's very short, but gives just enough information:

    Winner by a distance of 42: username!

  6. It was very verbose, and somewhat of a pain in the bee-hind to format properly. The information isn't very important either. What ultimately matters is who won. :p

I suppose your right ;) Most of the people who do these giveaways just ask people to pick one number between let's say 1-20 and then use programs such as "the-hat" or an electronic dice of which you can preset it's boundaries :D Given you have simplified the way in which you are going to judge the winner is the picking of 3 numbers still necessary?

  8. I haven't simplified the way I'm going to judge the winners. I've just simplified the way I'm presenting the winners. My methodology is exactly the same as it was.

    Besides, what fun would it be to just pick one number? :p lol

  9. Ahh I see, the way you were talking I had thought you were completely trashing your original way of working out the winner and replacing it with some really simple thing. Now what I understand you to be doing actually makes A LOT of sense :D

    I quite like how you've set it out to be pick 3 numbers. Often in threads where you only pick one from like 1-2 everyone will go for the same number after about 10 posts as there aren't many numbers left to pick from :p

  15. Okay, I said I would release the source code for my lottery drawing, so here it is: EMC Lottery. I used a nice utility called LINQPad to write and execute this code for the drawing itself. However, this is more or less a full fledged C# program, so if you take the contents of that file and dump it into a C# Console Program project, it should work relatively well with a few minor modifications. (You mostly have to replace LINQPad's Dump() calls with Console.WriteLine() calls)
