Simple question, do you think that Villager trading will affect EMC shops when 1.3 is released I think that it will affect shops in the way that people may start setting up Trading Posts where they keep a bunch of villagers locked up and let people come trade with the NPCs, for a price. This allows people to find other, perhaps cheaper, ways of obtaining high cost items thus putting some shop owners' businesses in dire straits.
you can trade wheat for items like diamonds and emeralds but getting those are very rare so i dont think so
It may be vanilla but the real problem I see is people taking advantage of NPC trading over using rupees.
We have no official word on what will happen in response to the Villager Trading at this point. I am sure it will be explored with the current system to discover the positive and negative points prior to us taking a stance. It is considerably more difficult to adjust to this particular change without having access to 1.3 on our current system. Please have patience, our decision will be made with a full evaluation rather than a knee-jerk reaction.
