So I just noticed maybe a couple days ago that when I open a chest it opens then closes right after even though the inventory menu stays up. I noticed it several times today so I stood with the chest open and it repeatedly opened and shut like I was repeatedly opening and closing it. Glitch with the game or just on my end?
I had this as well but it was when someone else was using the chest and exited the inventory while i was still using it so i think it's just a smp glitch
I've encounted this before, its probably just server issues. It doesn't really affect the gameplay, just rather weird to be sorting out the contents of a chest while its closed.
