I have a good rig capable of running any current game, but whenever I would go by chickens (usually a coop on water), my framerate will drop really low for just a moment, then come back. Same thing when I leave the area. If you are experiencing this issue or a similar issue, try updating LWJGL (LightWeight Java Game Library) in your minecraft jar. Instructions from Minecraftwiki.net - HERE This updated version of LWJGL is supposed to be released with 1.3 but if you are having framerate issues on a machine that shouldn't be, this worked great for me with 1.2.5 TL;DR version: Try this to fix framerate drops 1) Download LWJGL (LightWeight Java Game Library) 2) Open the .minecraft directory (%appdata%\.minecraft\bin) 3) Replace the following files: Replace with copies from ..\LWJGL\jar .minecraft\bin\jinput.jar .minecraft\bin\lwjgl.jar .minecraft\bin\lwjgl_util.jar Replace with copies from ..\LWJGL\native\windows .minecraft\bin\natives\jinput-dx8.dll .minecraft\bin\natives\jinput-dx8_64.dll .minecraft\bin\natives\jinput-raw.dll .minecraft\bin\natives\jinput-raw_64.dll .minecraft\bin\natives\lwjgl.dll .minecraft\bin\natives\lwjgl64.dll .minecraft\bin\natives\OpenAL32.dll .minecraft\bin\natives\OpenAL64.dll
Post your results please. Are you trying to fix a specific issue or just increase performance in general?
Performance in general. I do have a giant skele spawner, and my computer (which should be able to handle more than 100 skeles) drops to around 6 fps when they really build up. It makes killing a little tougher than usual.
Thread title changed since there are many fixes using this procedure. Your mileage may vary, but post your results. My results are: -Nether no longer lags -No longer lagging around large amounts of chickens in water. -No more sticking keys (this didn't happen often in the first place, so I might be jumping the gun on this one)
Yeah, that the reason why i have 2 account, one standing next to the spawner, and one standing next to the loot hole! Plus did you know that reconnecting will stop the lag for a few second!
