Here are some things you should know: Golden apples are your best friends. You don't regen health, so the only way to gain your health back is to eat a golden apple or brew healing potions or regeneration potions. On a team, try to mine in separate caves because you are bound to find a lot more being away from each other than together. Get at least 5-10 apples before you go underground to go mining. Enchanting is a must! Enchanting and potions can carry you a long way. For example: this last UHC, I won because I had strength 1 potions, and a sharpness II Diamond Sword against a team of 3 (3vs1). Try not to take any damage! Taking any kind of damage can cost you a lot in the pvp phase. If you don't find much gold, you are out of luck when you are pvping because of your health. Try to mine for at least an hour (or until you get what suits your needs). Spyro and I usually mine until the border starts moving (after 1 hour). Some games you will find a lot of diamonds, and some games you won't. Mine to sounds! After you go through the cave you have found, try strip mining and see if you can hear any sounds on the way (water, lava, mob noises, mob movement). That is all that I can think of at the moment.
