No, this is not a scam. You can find the Fishbowl on SMP1, at Res 2401, and all storage within it is free for your use. The setup is a little awkward because I originally made it just for fun, but decided it should be useful as well as awesome. The Fishbowl is devoted to providing storage space for players from other servers. I server-hop all the time and feel their pain. I will be making future storage buildings outside of the fishbowl, and these will cost rupees. Let me know if you have any suggestions or questions, you can find me in game at res 1588 or res 2401. There's a tower/castle inside the fishbowl with a main tower and miniature towers. The main tower has chests for multiple people, but the little towers are a bit more private. Each room/tower has chests. xP It's a storage building, in the form of an colorful underwater fishbowl accessory. xP Everyone gets their own chest with an access sign.

(Just kidding.) xP I very much doubt that if I suddenly decided to go into all the chests and take all the stuff, that I would get away with that. Large scale thievery is kind of hard to miss. I just made it into storage to help people, and if you don't trust me, you don't have to take advantage of it.
The Fishbowl has been here for exactly a week! And while it is an awesome and amusing creation, I have found that I've already grown bored of it. I am going to reset my second res and start a new project, and there will still be storage space available on my renovated res at a future date, though it will probably simply be cheap rather than free. I am sorry for the inconvenience to the half a dozen or so people who did take me up on my offer, however, one of the many reasons I made it free was because I wasn't sure it would last. If you haven't noticed already, I am always building something new on my properties, and, however much I love my creations, they won't last forever.
Next time, you shouldn't make promises you don't plan to keep. What reason would people have to trust you will keep your promises next time, when this one didn't even last more than a week?
If you weren't sure it would last, then why start digging yourself a hole? I'm sure that your reputation will be affected, as I'm sure these people wanted to stow their stuff for more than a week. Just because you get bored is no excuse to go from idea to idea, destroying peoples' opinions of you as you go.
I'm not going to argue my point or make reasons as to why your points are more than a little exaggerated and a little over the top for a free double chest. I WILL say, however, that I make mistakes just like everyone else, and I will also note that while I may have wasted two minutes of a player's time setting up their chest, I did not waste their money. I will also note that half the people who have storage there are my friends and only one of the people with storage there are from another server. Rather than waste everyone's time waiting a month to see if this will work, I've already concluded that it won't and I'm cutting it short. I will be making a new underground storage facility, that way if I feel the need to change my res, it won't be affected. If you feel like I'm not trustworthy based on one miscalculation on my part, then you are more than welcome to go somewhere else. There is no need to criticize me on points I've already realized, and if you had read my recent post on the subject, you would've noticed that I've already apologized for that mistake. As I stated in my previous post, I am sorry for the inconvenience. If any of the players who took up my offer feel slighted in the least, they are free to PM me and I will do what I can to make them happy, however, I don't think they will make nearly a big a deal out of it as you guys did. :0 Edit: I've decided it would be better to simply leave the chests where they are, and I will wait on you guys to contact me.
I know, it does! I do love the fishbowl. But with it hanging in the middle of my res like that, I'm having trouble working around it to do the other things I wanted to do. I made some mushroom houses and were going to rent those out, but they were too close together and... the fishbowl was in the way. xP I need more room. Maybe I should just upgrade my subscription, though I doubt I could manage an extra $10 a month on top of my bills. :0 I've been thinking about upgrading anyway, and I'm not going to reset my res right now or anything. I just didn't want to bring people's hopes up about free storage more than I already have. So yeah. xP
I was not trying to insult you, or imply that you are untrustworthy in any way. I was just letting you know the possible repercussions of something like this against your reputation.
Maybe it was just me, but the post came off as rather hostile to me. Hopefully I won't become a pariah or a leper to the EMC community over an inconvenience, but if I do, well, you know what they say. You can't make everyone happy.
