  4. do you have no video graphics at all?? if you do, have you tried installing optifine? :p

  6. if you you do have a dedicated video card it you may want to open the case up and make sure everything is running smoothly in there, overheating to computers is like arsenic to humans, they can only handle so much before they are just toast :)
