[QUESTION] Stacking Horse Eggs

  1. Hi there,

I have a question about stacking horse eggs and I'm wondering if someone knows the answer to it. I've seen, by chance, two horses have the same stats and the eggs stack. I have some donkeys whose eggs have the same stats and stack. I also have donkeys with the same stats that don't stack.

I guess my question is why do some identical horses and donkeys stack and others don't. I thought maybe they were like heads and if I threw them into my vault, they would fix themselves, but that didn't work.
  2. Does it come down to color? Random guess.
  3. Everything has to be the exact same. This includes speed, jump, hp, color, pattern, name, and type.
  4. Donkeys don't have color. Some of the ones with the exact same stats and everything don't stack, yet some do. I've seen the same with horses.
  5. I have a pair of 2 Donkeys that are stacked too...and I think they will stack like that if the stats are the same.
  6. It could possibly be the NBT tags save either the time of last breed (kind of like Headless Horseman Masks) or the state they were last in (like ready to breed, normal, etc).

Make sure f3+h is enabled and scroll over to see the number of NBT tags that the ones that stack have, the ones that don't stack have, and differences between any tag numbers.

If it's the time of last breed thing, which I believe IS saved in order to make it so you can't breed an animal, respawn it, and breed it again; then you may be out of luck trying to stack it.
