So the wedding planning madness has begun... We have some pretty interesting things in mind, but more brains is what I need at the moment. Trying to figure out a cute save-the-date idea. We would like to incorporate the following into something unique, but not TOO crazy since some of the family really doesn't understand the level of our geekiness =P -Doctor Who -Minecraft -Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy -Possible: Cats So, any ideas?
Are you planning to take pictures for it? Otherwise, I'm picturing a nice Tardis AKA police phone booth as the invite It won't make sense to non-nerds but it will just look like a police box to them.
Probably not taking any pics for it, but we have engagement shots to work with if we need to throw one in somewhere. Oh and add cats to that list. Only thing I can think of is us with our towels tied together (or in some kind of heart shape) standing in front of the TARDIS that has the door open and our two cats at the bottom of the pic by our feet. Or maybe me having 4th doc's scarf tangled up with ignoramoose's towel. I really want to put minecraft in to because it's a big part of my life, but I don't know what aspect to choose.
I ask because it's something a lot of couples seem to do these days. When I was looking for invites and everything else last year, at least half of them had spots for photos. I imagine you would put the engagement photos in those spots if you wanted to. But my husband and I didn't take ours until a couple of months before the wedding, (oops.) I could definitely see some cute pixel art trees and farm animals (a baby sheep comes to mind,) that look like they're from Minecraft incorporated either in your photo or the save-the-date. That would be cute
