Hey, I am interested in buying some sort of action cam such as a GoPro. Features I want: At least 1080p at 60 FPS Durable Good picture and video quality (Sorta a given..) Case/lens protector accessory available. Also, it'd be nice if it would be able to do at least 120 FPS at 720p One of the things I would use it for is off-roading in an ATV (So all my peeps will see my beautiful driving skillz), so it the lens has to have a cover (So rocks or dirt doesn't scratch the lens) I am new to the world of photography, so feel free to correct me if I seem nooby Thanks for the help!
I was going to go with GoPro, but I am wondering which GoPro I should get. The Hero 4 Black is too expensive currently
Personally love this GoPro they recently made. $400 All the accessories Really it's a hands-down decision IMO.
The Silver and Black are more interesting me, mostly the black with 120 FPS 1080p (For slow-mo) . (Even though some sources say it is a joke and they are just scaling the resolution up) But the Black's $650 price point (Including all the other extra batteries, accessories, and extra LCD screen for playback) is too much for me, but at the same time I'd rather dish out the extra $250 for the Black then possibly buying it later at the full $650. Also, I don't need the smallness/lightness of the Session. I think I am just going to go with the Hero 4 Silver.
You could get the Hero4 Silver for the same $400 but it can only do 1080p60 and 720p120. You really won't be getting 1080p120 without stepping up to a 4K-capable camera like the Hero4 Black which is out of your budget. I think this is the best $400 can get you. It's a good deal IMO. If you need to do slow motion then 720p120 will do just fine. Hero4 Silver Accessories
