[HELP] Installing texture packs

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous' started by JParsonsX, Aug 11, 2015.

  1. Hey EMC,

Lately, I've been getting bored with the default Minecraft texture pack. I would like it if you guys could possibly PM me a series of pictures with steps on how to install texture packs. I tried looking up a video but it's far more easier for me to just look up pictures :p

I heard the Faithful texture pack is awesome! (Is that right? :p)

    Unfortunately, I don't have a PC. I have a Mac Apple computer....

    Thanks!
    JP
  2. I have Windows, but it's pretty much the same on Mac. It's pretty simple, too:

    1. Download the texture pack. Navigate to wherever it downloaded to (probably a downloads folder) and keep that folder open. The texture pack should be in a compressed folder.

    2. Open the resource pack folder. The easiest way to do this is go to Minecraft and select 'Options'. From there, go to 'Resource packs' and select 'Open Resource Pack Folder' which is located at the bottom of the screen.

    3. Drag the texture pack (step 1) into the resource pack folder (step 2).

    4. Go back to the title screen. Go to Options > Resource Packs again and the new texture pack should appear on the left. To select it, simply hover over it until you see an arrow. Click that and the pack you want to use should move over to the right side. Simply select 'Done' and it's installed and active.

    Maybe?
  3. I'll try it when I get my computer (in a couple hours). Thanks for the help! I'll PM you if I does not work :p
