I don't know about the ones nfell suggested but district 9 was terrible. The only reason that movie even made it into theatres is because of how much money was spent on the special effects. Terrible acting, interesting plot that was poorly executed, terrible terrible terrible lines. Ugh that movie, cool guns and weird aliens I guess make a decent film for most though :P
I thought the acting was bad just because I'm not used to hearing South African accents on people. It was a decent film though - not amazing, not exactly bad either. Why they entrusted the Alien franchise with District 9's director is beyond me, though.
You guys realise the acting wasn't supposed to be the best? The actors were playing ordinary citizens on a documentary, and so it was intentional. Dont see how the plot was poorly executed? The lines were average, nothing awful in there but there were some pretty good lines- ones that once you've seen the film once, you'll remember everytime you hear the phrase. Not many films can do that to be fair.
