Many older member come back and don't know things such as the admin flag, TNT being allowed, tokens, voting bonuses, supporter vouchers, etc. I could help them get quickly caught up to date.
Unless your boat is made out of wiki pages, I don't think that'll work out too well for the Contribution Team. :P
I kind of like jkjkjk's idea, though. However, it could be made even simpler by just a list of, say, the 10 most recent update threads, including Aikar's updates, krysyy's newsletters, and other important announcements.
After thinking about this for a while, I decided it would be too similar to the Empire News Timeline http://empireminecraft.com/wiki/timeline/
