We didn't want to limit the potential for supporters with their lots. Many supporters hire regular players to help with things. Making it so only other supporters could have flags would make the Utopia lots less powerful than smp. :)
that might be, but it does kind of defeat the purpose of a gold/diamond supporter only server, don't you think? I know I've been bugged when I was on there because regular players come on and want to know where they can get a res, only to get annoyed when I tell them to go to the other servers for one...
Yeah regular players can't join that server until they complete the tutorial on an smp server (they couldn't join utopia first). We are in the process of making the new user tutorial a little more difficult.
I don't want to keep regular members from joining Utopia completely because you might have a nice shop or something cool you want to show off to the entire community. If you want in chat you can leave global and just be in the supporters only channel :)
