it isn't okay, but you should probably move farther out. Try to get at least out 5k blocks, and for complete saftey, 30k blocks.

Pab10S, Alice, and I would be more than happy to help. I have a functioning 3 cell iron farm (expanding to 6 or 8 cell) on smp9 if you want to use while moving your other iron farm.

My advice: Dig a 80000 nether block path with no rails! and seclude it so people won't find it... it is a 6 hour walk no one in their right mind will grief you again also you will be 650k out or around that :D

Ted, that is a terrible idea. There is saftey, then there is insanity. That will make traveling iron so hard, and painful.

that's why you wait a few months so you can travel back and forth from town to your outpost with a portal

Owen is right, a six hour walk is crazy. Yeah, no one is their right might will greif him but 6 hours is most of the day pretty much gone! It'd take all day to get back and forth...

30k out is safe. Most griefing is by noobs, and they really never go out more than 1k blocks. People will only go that far out if you have some serious goodies, and if that happens it will be more likely for mods to track. I would say there is a 99.99% chance you would not get griefed that far out.
