Well, i just don't like the word "dating" when it is used by someone so young. When you are that age "dating" pretty much means just two people like each other and they are open about it. Nothing wrong with it at that age (unless they do something morally wrong), it is just stupid though.

Someone of that age range doesn't have the mental capacity(and understanding) to really know what 'love' or such feelings really are.

Love has nothing to do with it, mba :P If you're friends with them you'll like their personality, closeness to you, and eventually their looks. If they're not your friend, then you WILL be after their looks only. It's only after maybe a year or so you will probably think "I love them".

*random person snooping through profiles*To be honest, in fourth grade, I had actually had some "crush feelings" on students and LOTS of other students did with others, it was until 5th grade when people were dating, but everyone would always break up after a month and move on. Mental capacity is not fully developed at 10-14, but some of it is.
