    Kind of, but not at the same time, I haven't figured if it is possible to trade pokemon but there is always a way to get eggs either from the shelter or the lab.. The also have "trinkets" which are similar to the event "items" on DC but they can be obtained at any time.. But you have to trade them to get them all because of the affinitys.

    Yes but you can pretty much get all of the views needed on-site by interacting with other users pokemon.. :)
