I really only want to play MC at 60fps and have some mods installed (optifine, minimap mod, maybe some others (emc approved of course!). Perhaps expand into some other games such as indie games and VNs.

If you're able to afford it, it's worth it to upgrade to a 2600 or even a 3600. Also, 3000 speed memory seems a bit slow for Ryzen...I would recommend taking a look at /r/buildapc and /r/buildmeapc. In addition, if you have a MicroCenter store near you (within an hour), it will definitely be worth it to go there. Everything there usually a ton cheaper than Amazon/Newegg.

Definitely go for the AMD build though. My ideal build would have an AMD CPU and a Nvidia GPU, but for the lower end of stuff, Radeon (AMD) GPUs are pretty good

If you are going for the 2600, get the 1600AF. Its very similar to the 2600 but at a much cheaper price.

Been looking at youtube videos and reddit while at work and found this one on youtube: https://bit.ly/2HT18Sz It uses the 1600 (partpicker lists price at 120, but amazon says 85 lol), also the video had a 240GB SSD which I exchanged for 500GB SSD, or do you guys think getting the 240 for 40$ and then getting a 2TB HHD for $100 is the better option for more storage? Total price with 500GB SSD: $562.93

Personally, I would recommend all-SSD if you don't have too many games and documents and stuff. HDDs are way slower, but they work if you don't mind a bit of a showdown

I will start with the 500GB samsung SSD I put on the partpicker then and go from there! Right now I am not planning too many games, gonna definitely have MC installed and I have always wanted to play CS:GO on PC so... ;D. All my documents will remain with this laptop I currently use so don't need to worry about document space.

Aside from that, does the build look fine? It should be since the guy on Youtube put the thing together then showed himself playing popular games like CS, Fortnite, and Apex on it @ ~120FPS.

Wont be able to put the build together until I move to a new place in town within the next month... Should I buy the parts now? I know that the prices fluctuate so I don't wanna think I am spending 560 and then look and see that it is actually 600 after the fact lol.

Putting aside the debates about the CPU, storage, and memory, the build looks pretty good! Keep in mind that the case is purely aesthetic, and any case will look good as long as it matches the mobo size (microATX, ATX, etc). Your mobo is microATX, so any microATX case will be good. (Or you could go for a bigger case like an ATX case and just make your mobo look really tiny.)

I appreciate your input! Think I will keep the case as it looks pretty cool. I am gonna keep an eye on the price for this build as I Likely wont buy any of the parts until I move in a few weeks.

Prices fluctuate constantly, some people buy their parts and then the price goes down $100 the next day. My tip is: if you see a good price, buy it, it might go back up soon.

Thanks for that! I am going to check past prices and see if any of the parts are on sale right now. Whatever is on sale I will go ahead and buy... I have the money for the build now- just don't actually have room for the build until I move lol.
