    There is no official best of the best blocks nor items in Minecraft, and game developers these days having an obsession about game balance attempt to end these arguments. With Minecraft 1.9's combat changes, people can't argue about the superiority of the sharpness and protection enchantments. Both of these enchantments were weakened for the sack of game balance and these arguments.
