I have a few suggestions - tell me what you like/dislike. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Chat Histories---------If I'm away for a bit, I have quite a bit of people pm me, but 'oh no' I missed them. How will I be able to know what he/she said? One way would be to type /chat history Doing so would list, in chat, the previous [10] private messages that individuals sent you.(maybe even add in chats where your name was mentioned too) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Tab Updates--------- Chat is listed alphabetical (A-Z) by who was already logged in. I propose two options for this: ==========================================================================================Option 1List names based on supportership - then alphabetical: AdminsSeniorStaffModsDevsDiamondGoldIronRegular (This particular style could help individuals make out the staff and supporters in tab) ==========================================================================================Option 2Leave the names in alphabetical order, but update it on logins/logouts. In the current chat the last name of the first people logged in was Ximpheveryone that logged in 'after' her are alphabetical, but are listed after her name. Perhaps auto re-order everyone's name everytime someone joins/leaves the smp. (This style might help people find individuals online by how his/her name is spelled) ==========================================================================================Another Tab SuggestionIn newer client versions - there is green text below the namelist When not many people are online, it's not much of an issue, but when the server is beginning to get full it blocks chat, health/levels, and hotbar. It's good for the server, but perhaps move this back to 'on login' chat only, instead of tab list? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~AFK Names--------- People have suggested [AFK] next to name in tab before......but what about names above someone's head? I think It would look pretty nifty to have the name an individual sees display as: Not AFK:---------------------------WCG_Elite--------------------------- AFK:----------------------------[AFK] WCG_Elite---------or----------WCG_Elite [AFK]
Chat history for personal messages would be nice, I like the idea, but I think it wouldn't be easy to implement. There is a chat log already - it is in your game folder under "logs". To view it and search in it, I suggest tools 7-zip and Notepad++. For the names tab, I'd like to have it sorted alphabetically case insensitive.
