?

Would you like a voting sidebar?

Yes 15 vote(s) 93.8%
No 1 vote(s) 6.3%
I'm not bothered/not affected 0 vote(s) 0.0%
  1. I think it would be good to have some kind of voting sidebar, showing information such as:
    • Current voting streak
    • Highest voting streak
    • Next voting milestone
    • Rupees earned through voting
    • and more (ideas below?)
What I mean by sidebar is something similar to the rupees and tokens sidebar.

I think we should have this because although there are a lot of notices and buttons linking you to voting to me they kind of just get forgotten amongst the rest of site and I think it would be good to have our own stats bar as it would encourage people to vote and help people to remember to keep their voting streak up. Personally, I am terrible at remembering to vote and I feel that this would be a good way of reminding me to keep my voting streak up.

    Thoughts? :)

  2. Could you please explain it again? I didn't quite understand.
  3. If I'm correct, I believe he is suggestion that on the side of the forum where it says Rupees, TEXP, Postcount, likes, and such, Also having something that tells you about your voting information.

  4. all of those except total rupees earned is possible. Well, total rupees earned is possible, but it would slow down every page load soooo badly and kill the database server in performance, as rupee logs are a massive database table. We would have to implement some form of cache system just to do that.
  5. Yeah, that's what I mean. (Sorry forgot to reply)
Fantastic. The rupees earned idea was just a random idea that came to my head and wouldn't really need to be implemented anyway. I hope to see this possibly implemented then sometime in the future, once you've got free time to sort it out. ;)
  6. Why couldn't you just add up all the rupees a player should have earned for the number of times they've voted. It wouldn't be entirely accurate, but it could work :p
  7. If were going to do stuff beyond "simply accessing data we already have", might as well do the stuff I mentioned above with caching :p
