Hey i have a suggestion, We know we sometimes have trouble recognize a player buy there name now.Well if a little coding and research would it be able to show the players head or full character and have there profile info aswell? If not that is totally fine! But i thought it may be able to recognize someone by there skin instead of going throught the whole ''What's you're old name?'' Situation. It would also be a little decorative!
I think this would be VERY difficult to do, and furthermore finalize. Many people on the SMPs change skins frequently, and I think that would make this impossible if you don't lock a player to their skin. Otherwise, I think it is an okay suggestion.
You can't display player heads very well in chat - the closest you can do is using block Unicode symbols to make them, which if chat wasn't restricted to as few colours as it currently is would be technically possible, but with only the 15 different colours is impossible to make look good.
+1 I'd love to see this happen on EMC, perhaps you could use Unicode Symbols? ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓ ▓░░░░░░░░░▓ ▓░░░░░░░░░▓ ▓░░░░░░░░░▓ ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓ ... Looks better in-game.
I've seen it done in the past - since chat colours are so limited, for most skins it looks pretty bad.
Yea, But if they could do a rerun of the update they can put ALOT more colours in the fixture. So it may be but maybe not.. I hope it comes across someones mind and finds a way!
Minecraft's chat is super limited, and it doesn't like we'll be getting more chat colours anytime soon.
