Hey Empire! Today I have a suggestion, so sit back and read. Please. I worked hard on this. Idea More ways of earning tokens, by appealing to multiple play styles. Why? There is currently one way of earning tokens - fighting mobs. But what about the people who don't fight mobs? How about the miners and the farmers? Details Farming - Farming crops in the ground (measured by the amount of crops harvested in farmland) has, say, a 1 in 20 chance to give a token. Bonemealing items has a low chance of giving tokens. Mining - Destroying an ore that gives gems (NOT iron or gold) without a silk touch pick will give tokens with about a 1 in 5 chance. Building - Placing valuable blocks (quartz, iron, etc.) gives a 1 in 100 chance for a token. This will probably be abused.... but honestly, do you want to place 100 blocks for just a token? There are 4 ways actually 1) Killing Custom mobs 2) Killing normal mobs in a group at a fast pace 3) Mining in a group at a fast pace 4) Voting We will add more eventually, but not on a near term agenda.
What about upping the numbers for the other things? Voting seems by far the most fruitful way to get tokens, rather than playing the game. Since they're just currency between us and EMC though, maybe that's how you want it.
This is awesome! Group up in 3+ people in your group (do the /invite), and go mining for blocks. Seems to be about 5 minutes or so of group mining triggers the group perk of 'haste' and the tokens follow shortly after that. You continue to get tokens, again for me about every 5 minutes or so of mining. The players in your group also need to be mining near you (we usually stay within 60 blocks of each other). Personally I have never gotten tokens by #2, because I hardly group up to kill mobs! (Though I will have to try this now hehe)
