I love the auctions option but without the ability to at least view auctions in game, many players will miss it. I have been active in building in the wild/town and learning about the economy and how to get involved in the server. Many people will have varied interest in working to find stuff but may take part in them if they knew they were going on. Ideally, full ability to add and bid would be great, but maybe a simple /auction to list current auctions and last bids. May be to difficult with how forums work. Just need to draw activity to the forums and online pages or make more of that content available in game if possible.
eh? Could be nice, but maybe just a message with the link the EMC website popping up every so often, just like when it says "EMC has just updated to 1.11.2, please explore chunks slowly to decrease lag"
I don't know about you but I surely ignore a lot of those things in passing. /auction or a command would give someone the power to look at them when they want. It could just be a message with a link to the forums or directly to the auction area in a first wave with more features later.
Well auctions are already advertised by players. Not sure how a /auction would work as its not part of the game. It's a fourm section. There is no way to show the current auctions as it can change so often. Plus there is info in the tutorial about the auctions and then you see it on the recent threads on the home page as well.
Understood Finch_Rocks_1, anytime there is a "data_base" this can be done either from or to minecraft with code updates. This certainly is not a requirement but I do think it would be a nice to have and attract more auction traffic. As a "newer" player, I can tell you I did look pretty well at the starting area, because I am also new to minecraft, but there is so much info I didn't remember much at all about the website stuff as compared to in game things. Even then it was a whole lot to absorb. Once a player settles in to EMC, server, community and economics, the ability to find those things again is just helpful and would create more people both adding an bidding in the auctions. ....This may also boost forum use in general.
Yes but there is no way to tell what auction is active and what is not as there are many times when a closed auction is still bumped or not closed.
if u want 2 see auctions then why not just go 2 the forums? but i have 2 go -1. soz. its also part of the auction game that some ppl overlook stuff, and when they do i get 2 win ^.^
