Hiya, Since kinda getting back into EMC, I've been spending most of my time at my wild town Sia (feel free to join ). I've got an idea for a shopping complex/mall/thingy, but there is no real way to create it as it would require players online to trade which is just a pain. What would be cool is if shops could be created in the wild! Now, you may be asking, what about thieves, protection and all that lot?! Well! My solution to this problem is that players are allowed X amount of shops per server in the wild. It can even be a supporter perk to be allowed more shops! Players chests are then protected, maybe for free? Maybe paid like [LOCKED] but reduced?! It'd allow new economies to spawn in wild towns as people can shop local, rather than having to get it themselves, require someone else online or go back to town. Please vote in the poll and comment your opinions below. Thankies, nfell
I could be wrong, but, uh... https://empireminecraft.com/threads/suggestion-alias-chest.67139/#post-1219596 +1 still >_>
that has nothing to do with the wild. We dont have any plans to add shops to the wild. Wild is for Survival. Town is for Economy. Things get confusing if you try to blend the 2. When Outposts are done, you will be able to teleport back to town to do shop trades.
I don't understand? You're talking about "relying on shopping" instead of going out to get it yourself (or accessing a community chest) Shops are in the Town world, where Economy Chat also is. It won't hurt to make a quick jump to town to shop if that's what you want to do.
It it hasn't been already mentioned I belive slot shop signs were possible in the wild a long while back but were disabled later on...
Wild towns should be able to branch away from town itself. By letting shops in the wild, towns can grow their own economies and prices. Away from the reliance of town. Pretty sure they've always been disabled in the wild.
I have to agree with nfell here. There's very few people actually interested in outposts and things in the wild now, because they all want to be in town with the economy. I'd think allowing chest shops in the wild would be a huge boost to many of the abandoned wild towns, and bring more interest back into the wild.
When Outposts are done, sure we can consider it then. But right now, I don't want shops outside of Residences.
You can build a redstone contraption with anti-grief. Stock it, lock it, and let the player exchange say gold for food.. at a gold farm.
