It's Bothering Me!

  1. If you use Chrome as much as I do, you'll probably know what I'm talking about. I recently closed out of Chrome for the first time in a pretty long time, and when I started it up again, I saw stuff like this:
Annoying_1.png (Now says my name next to the minimize button)
    And this:
Annoying_2.png (Has my avatar on it)
I just keep on looking at those and thinking, "This isn't right!"
This is just something that I've been getting bothered by for the past few hours, and I'm not sure if it's happening with anyone else or if it's just me.
    TechFilmer likes this.
  2. Yup, Chrome updated itself for me too and now it does that. Kinda weird, but I'm sure we'll get used to it, and it's an improvement over their previous system, which would sign you in to the browser but not really let you know.
  3. My avatar is just generic for chrome. I guess I never bothered signing in.

  4. I get the name, but there's no icon, strange
  5. Chrome has a hidden option to remove it. Just follow the link below and choose to disable the avatar thing.
    chrome://flags/#enable-new-avatar-menu
Fyi, chrome flags are advanced settings for fine tuning a bunch of different things.
