Happy Holidays! It's that wonderful time of year! Gifts are being frantically wrapped, families and friends are getting together, and caroling can be heard for miles. That's right, it's the holiday season! And even on Empire Minecraft, the festivities have been going on for a while now. I'd like to add to those festivities, if I may! Join us for the 2nd Annual Empire Minecraft Holiday Get-Together! What?: Holiday Party/Event Where?: /v +holiday on SMP7. When?: Friday, December 23rd @ 6pm EMC/EST Events: There's a few things you can do here! First, is a rather simple game of ice golf. Second, there will be tree trimming, and there will of course be gifts to be given! Also, there's a little ornament hunt! What should I bring?: Mundane gifts that anyone would like (diamonds, armor, tools, etc.), and one decoration for the SMP7 Christmas Tree that you will have the opportunity of placing it upon. Please, no dirt, grass, or other cheap things should be placed on the tree, my team and I worked very hard to present it to everyone. Event descriptions: Ice Golf: Ice golf is a little thing that I find rather interesting. There will be a place where you start, and you have to drop a snowball over and over around a little ice track, until you get it to the hole at the end. The ice track is rather small, so don't expect to be staying here for ages on that. Whoever participates will be timed, and whoever has the best time wins a novelty prize! What IS that prize? Well, win to find out! Tree Trimming: If you bring a block to decorate the tree with, you will have the opportunity to place it or have it placed. Our tree is big for a reason, and that's too see what you can do! Please do not bring ice, as it may melt with the glowstone and endrods already on the tree. (packed ice is fine). We also ask that you do not bring blocks such as sand, dirt, cobble, or netherrack to decorate with, as we don't want the tree to appear junky. Take some time to find a really nice looking block, it doesn't necessarily have to be a valuable one. Heads (decorative, player, or mob) are welcome, as we find them cute. Gifts: Pretty self-explanatory. Please do not get offended if you show and you do not have a gift under the tree. The gifts under the tree were handpicked by me, and are given to closer friends. We will have mundane things, such as cookies to give out, but please do not get upset if you are not featured. You are welcome to bring gifts that anyone can enjoy to dish out, or give gifts to someone specific that shows. If you would like to have a gift "wrapped and placed under the tree, please message me upon arrival with the gift, chest, 2 signs, and the player's name. Presents from myself have the nametags in green, other people will be tagged in blue, and the giver will be named. (If you wish to be a secret Santa, that's fine too). Ornament Hunt: This is one I found pretty cool, as I've never seen it done before on EMC! On one of the many pine trees scattered about the residence, there is a different color ornament. Each tree has three colors on it, but one has four. If you can point out the tree, and the different color, you get a prize. Whoever get's it first wins. I will also give you the different ornament in addition to the prize. If you're just coming for the sites of the season, that's great! The residence will remain in it's holiday attire until New Year's Day, so please come down and enjoy! Special Thanks to the people who made this possible: Harp4Christ: Creating the foliage on the SMP7 tree TBirdXmas16: Decorating the SMP7 tree and supplying ornaments RavenClaus02 and Cakester2OOO: Designing the tree skirt WyntyrRaevyn: Supplying ornaments, and sold us all the needed snow JDHallows: Provided the Blizz Nose that created Frosty Hope to see you there!
