Me and a good friend were talking about donators on servers and we had a little argument over if the donator should only pay one time, or pay every 30 days. I personally believe they should pay every month because the donators are the ones that keep the server running! Also every server I've ever been on has a monthly donation policy(excluding a small, poorly run server) . On the other hand, my friend thinks it should only be a one-time payment, while this seems like a great deal for the players, the owners would lose money over time and eventually might even shut down the server. Please, tell me your opinion, I would like to see what the majority of people want .
You can upgrade, then two seconds later cancel the subscription and still have the full month of benefits for the upgrade. So, in all reality you can do either =)
I think you misunderstood, I was just having a chat with my friend about donating/supporting a server in general, not this server.
if it's a donation then it shouldn't really be required monthly. here supporter status isn't really a donation, because we're getting something of value in return. if it's someone giving money out of the good of their heart without expecting anything in return, then it doesn't seem right to expect it on a monthly basis. that said, if a person has the money and wants to donate on a monthly basis, there's nothing wrong with that.
Well EMC has both options. If you want to support the server and become a supporter you can pay monthly. If you want to do one donation you can and recieve a certain amount of ruppes depending on how much you donated.
