While at work reading the forums (which is where I do most of my forum browsing), I cannot seem to do anything but read. If I decide to post, or watch a thread, or do any kind of editing, the forum overlay appears on the page with the "progress indicator" bars moving, but nothing happens. It eventually stops, but the page will not change, forcing me to refresh the page with no actual changes taking effect. This only happens at work, and I have the same problem using three different browsers (IE, Chrome, Firfox). Now I know my Internet connection at work is bad, but it is still better than some old DSL connections. Also we are obviously firewalled, but that should not affect a normal browser session. My question, is the website coded in a way in which a slow or firewalled connection would interfere with posting/watching threads, etc? The only way I have been able to post is by selecting the "More Options" button, and then keep trying until it finally posts. Any ideas?
