While I can understand why irons can have a residence on Utopia, I don't feel like it makes much sense to not allow them to use the wild. I don't feel that allowing it would make the benefits of gold and diamond any less as they are already superior to iron. (Only reason I got iron instead of gold is because I'm currently saving up for a guitar) Maybe I'm only suggesting this because I upgraded, but I think it would be a nice feature for irons that wouldn't hurt golds and diamonds.
+1 I feel as if all supporters should have access to utopia because every supporter pays some real money to EMC.
The utopia wild/waste remains open to gold/diamond as one of the few features they have over other players, compared to the past. All players may operate a residence on utopia, even after supporter-ship has expired. The part that remains controlled based on ACTIVE supportership is the wild/waste. The gold/diamond supporters used to have a more exclusive world to themselves. It is only fair that they keep a small remainder of that exclusivity underneath our current system. In any system, there have to be valid incentives to go to the next level. Otherwise, there is no purpose in having that scale.
