On SMP5 I'm still running into forcefields on certain areas or new chunks. I thought this was meant to be resolved with the reset? - Cancel my last. I played around a bit and although it keeps occurring, it appears it's items not loading in such as tree trunks, etc. So I'm getting bounced back by invisible blocks even though everything else has loaded in.
I think it's because some trees are invisible for some reason. This wasn't on the 1.2.4 list, so presumably it's a bug that Mojang haven't fixed yet, as I agree with you that the bug's still around post reset.
You have to log out and in again, which is really annoying, but at least you can solve the problem by doing that
I have found that I can usually dig my way through a force field with a shovel. Try digging out the dirt in front of you and making a path for 5 or 6 blocks.
When you say forcefield, are you referring to where the trees are invisible and you walk into them? Because that's the only forcefield I've come across in the wild, and for me logging out and in fixes it. Suddenly loads of trees that were invisible before appear when you log back in.
I don't think so -- sometimes I am simply unable to proceed in a certain direction, and not just for a one or two block space, like for a tree. I keep getting bounced back repeatedly, like walking into an invisible wall. In all fairness, it never occurred to me to log out and try again -- next time, and then we shall see if it's just a bunch of trees. Seriously, though, the digging has worked for me, but maybe I'm just tunneling under invisible leaf blocks or something...
