What singer/band do you think is the most famous to come from your country?

Yes, I know most of today's popular musicians can from either the USA or UK, but every country has to have some that are in some way famous, so why not say what you think it is for your country?

I can think of three that would fit for Canada

1. Rush
2. The Tragically Hip
3. The Guess who

Canada.... *cough* Justin Bieber.

UK: The Beatles.

America: Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus (eww...), Usher, Black Eyed Peas
UK: ? Don't live or listen to songs from there. I hate 1D so... >_<

...personally the artist I listen to the most (also in top 20 most watched youtube video of all time) would be Shakira... but seeing as i'm not from columbia, I can't list her D: so yeh

The number of times the artist is watched on youtube means nothing. The bands I've listed have been around since before the 90s, and still write music today.
