[Question] Nether Beacons

Discussion in 'Empire Help & Support' started by ThaKloned, Sep 5, 2022.

  1. Is it possible to make it so that the beacons beam can go through any block(s) that are within the bedrock roof? They can go through bedrock itself no problem but any other blocks within will block the beam and prevent the beacon from being activated. Would only really be the top few layers that will potentially have a block that the beam can't pass through and in many cases, no way to remove them.
  2. You could probably ask SS really nicely to remove unreachable netherrack. But you would be responsible for removing any block that is reachable.

  3. You can use TNT near the top if there are any netherrack blocks you can't get to between the bedrock blocks.

I'm not sure if that makes any sense, so here's a diagram of what I mean:

Placing a TNT in place of the yellow X and igniting it should blow up the netherrack, allowing your beacon to pass through.

  4. Ya already tried TNT and no luck.

Thanks chickeneer, will message SS and see of they can help.
  5. Wow! I really thought Waffle was onto something there! Must be just 1 more block away. Tnt will only blast through corners, like Waffles diagram. If it's elsewhere chicken covered ya. I usually just move my beacon 1 block or re-orientate it. If it becomes a problem area, I will make a massive base with about 4x4 square beacons (16 total beacons). Once I get up top and clear it out, I can see which way all 6 will light up, if going for max. Sometimes space is an issue, I get that.
