Create additional spawn points in the frontier

  1. Creating more spawn point should allow for more locations to work from in building new outposts. Players coming in today many times have to go tens of thousands of blocks from the current c, w, e, etc... location. There is a lot of unused map that would be nice to have some in between spawn points and new Empire Owned spawn locations.

    EG:
    /wild e25
    /wild w50
    /wild sw75

Where these could each may take you to like 250,000, 500,000 and 750,000. If you look at the maps, people are only willing to travel so far from a quick portal spawn point. It seems that all the map in between that is unused is wasted.

A naming convention like this, or something else, will make it so it is continuously expandable as well. Later a 5 (50000), 15 (150000) and 30 (300000) can be added making new areas always available to travel from.

Even with the new frontier updates coming, it will still not really expand in to the huge un-open areas out there today. Going from [0],[0] spawn to [1,000,000],[1,000,000] is pretty darned incredible but no one is ever going to be at a 500,000,500,000 point.
  2. I always just traveled a few thousand blocks in the nether from an outpost then go a bit in another direction and you'll almost certainly be in new chunks. There's no need for added outposts. Just hop on a public rail or tunnel, go a few thousands in another direction place a portal and wham.

  3. Thanks, though I disagree, the outposts are 1 million blocks apart. There will be so much unused space in between that not even nether travel will fix that. I agree there are options out there but literally there is "tons of black space" on the frontier maps due to that type of distance. This makes new areas are more accessible to newer players as well and doesn't require everyone to have to travel as far to claim a little piece of the wild.
  4. Well even to claim an outpost, I believe you have to be at least 5k away from any outpost as well as 5k from any other player build. Even with the additions of these new outposts it would just add new little blips in the vast void of the overall world map. Even a quick glance at the 1 mil outposts show very little exploration and once those are explored to even half the extent of the others is when I'd consider adding the 500k ones. No need for excessive outposts, especially since those outposts far out like to be far out for a reason.
  5. Well, the 5k thing is excessive but a whole different topic. When the first person made a location that just put everyone else at least 2500 blocks from the spawn point, which is kind of dumb, but my opinion.

I agree they are just blips, which is why I suggested as time goes on it can be expanded. If we get the outpost update with some port type of ability, I can see where this may not matter, but doesn't seem right for me to have to figure out how to set up a 30 minute nether portal ride each direction just to find a new spot. ...then in building that I can't impact others rails which could create other issues for me. I really appreciate your thoughts on this but I just don't agree. ...which is fine by me, we'll all have some opinion which may or may not be the same.
  6. Please don't say that. That is misleading. Empires will not affect the frontier in any way.

  7. My mistake, was just repeating what I had been told
