  1. When searching for an item I never know what shop to go to for the best price. I am offering an idea such as /shopscan.

    How would it work?
This would work by Holding an item in your hand and using /shopscan. This command would search although the SMP you are on and look for different shops for the best price and where it is.

Example - Someone is looking to buy more wood. They type in /shopscan with the item in their hand. The Chat pulls up all the shops in that SMP that have them for sale at Price and quantity. The text pops up as <Shops related to (item id)>

    Shop/Mall (number/ or /v 12345) - 1 > B (2500.0/per) or Shop/Mall (number/ or /v 12345) - 1 > S (2500.0/per)

    Why have this?
This would help the new or old players who are looking to 'get more bang for their buck'. This would push the economy to price match and whatnot.

This is my First suggestion so go easy on me.
    Thanks for reading

  2. I'm going to try to go easy, but I apologize if this comes off differently...

While this suggestion has a neat idea at its core, the implementation would require the server to store the info for all shop signs in a searchable format, which would cost tremendous amounts of data to accomplish. Every time you ran an inquiry, it would likely result in a lot of lag because there are thousands of shop signs on each SMP. Due to this, it's simply not feasible to devote that sort of logging and power to the task, unless one of the devs has some really special magic up their sleeve.

  3. Fair enough. Thank you for putting me down easy haha xD. I'll look into more neat ideas in the future
  4. Something to keep in mind is definitely the power it would take the server to accomplish. If it requires a lot of logging, it's taxing on the server.
