I was talking in the staff chat recently (10 mins ago) about frozen freezer meals for lunch in an effort to cut costs so I can do grown-up things like rebuild my savings account after purchasing a house last year . The subject came up about our frozen lunch favorites and the edible quality of them, considering their ease of preparation and cost value (when comparing to fast-food options, not home-cooking leftovers). Personally, I'm a big fan of these: http://www.healthychoice.com/simply-cafe-steamers They are steamer bowls so that you don't get that awful feeling of eating congealed freezer food, and the portion size doesn't leave me with a food coma during my busy day at irl work. Also, thanks to my grocery store, they only clock in at $2.99 a piece, with the non-simply version at $1.99. Nice to slim my body and fatten back up my wallet instead, for savings and Doctor Who things Anyways, I'm curious. What is YOUR favorite?
Definitely my go-to for eating between rounds of Firefloor/Netherspleef when I run them on a lazy weekend afternoon.
Hmmm as a starving college student I lived off of lunchables...the pepperoni pizza kind: ....as a starving non college student I still lived off these while working at Walmart in an attempt to save up my money to pay for adult things like bills/loans when I felt like treating myself I'd splurge and buy kid cuisine the all star chicken nuggets kind was the best imo : But when I feel like being an adult and eating my veggies I love to get Marie Callender's Turkey Pot Pies they're really good and better than the chicken ones
Those pizza lunchables are the reason I survived being a kid at my mom's during the summer. She'd drop us off at the babysitter's house with one a piece on her way to work. Now they hold that unique taste of nostalgia.
If nobody says dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets, I leave this server. As for me, I'm a fan of easy microwaveable box meals, like Evol products (especially their three-cheese mushroom risotto). Balanced and not too large a serving. Also some DELICIOUS frozen orange chicken in out freezer. To die for. And, yes, the pizza bagels are a classic hit.
Not a huge fan of frozen food (I tend to order instead if I don't have time to cook), but I love frozen cheese lasagna. It almost tastes like real food, and since I like eating very hot food, I don't have the hot borders cold middle issue. This is what I usually get:
We eat a lot of Green Giant frozen things. Potato blends that are seasoned. pastas with veggies. Rice and veggie mizes Quick, easy but I dont feel like im eating as junky as it could be.
Costco Mini Tacos, Fake Chicken Nuggets, Costco Chicken Sandwiches, Burritos, Fish Sticks, and a lot more!
I survived off these my first year of college. Only put them in the oven, never in the microwave (they'll get squishy and gross).
I tried this one today as a very late snack- I was at the library instead of lunch This is probably my favorite so far hehe, I love this thread! =]
I practically live off of Eggo waffles-- I have had them nearly every single day for over 10 years... o.o (jeez... Has it been that long?) =o
Not the hugest fan of frozen mealsā¦ except for one thing. I am in love with the Whole Foods thick crust pizza. š¤¤
Well.......I like frozen stuff for sure! My favs, would be hot pockets, as for meals I have to say the Healthy Choice line. However, recently I was diagnosed with R.A. for you young-ins that is Rheumatoid Arthritis. The down side to this strand of it, it can jump from joint to joint. So I have a specific diet and my RA Dr. made a very serious point, if I eat to much processed food, it will cause flair ups. I didn't believe him and ate a frozen meal a few days ago. I have had a blistering migraine and my elbows have swollen. So needless to say My vote is definitely what Krysyy likes, but I cannot enjoy them anymore. <3
