SMP 3 Anyone recruitng Establishment?

  1. I'm wondering if there's anyone who is recruiting for their nation-state. I've been collecting resources for sometime now, and I think it's time to begin in the frontier!

In the event that I'll go establishing my own claim, what are some tips you guys reccomned I consider?
    - How do I know where to live?! D:
    - What is the most active frontier server? (SMP 3,4,5,6, etc?)
    - How would I transport stuff from my Town base to the Froniter if it's super far away?
    - What should I bring when "claim-searching"? The resources to build a house? Or just a chest?Thxs!
  2. -Go a few 10s of thousands of blocks out and check the livemap with the /map command. If it's all black you're usually good to go but just to be safe get staff to check there's no one else around before you claim the land.
-SMP3 is used a lot for frontier bases but I'm not sure how it compares to other SMPS.
-Get some shulker boxes and use a nether rail.
-Basic survival gear-Tools, armour, food, weapons, torches, wood, and a chest and sign if you decide to claim it.
    Hope this helps :)

  3. Thank you! But, I actually don't know how Nether rails work... If anything, I've got an elytra and a huge amount of fireworks to guide me across the face of the map. Does that work too?
  4. Nether rails are simple, they allow you to travel large distances in the overworld quickly. 1 block in the nether is the equivalent of traveling 8 blocks in the overworld.

  5. Thanks. I searched it up. Would you suggest elytra travel to "discover" a claimable place, and then using a nether rail to get there again? And also, are the black regions on the live map "ungenerated" chunks and regions?
  6. That seems like a good idea except I'm not sure if a single elytra can travel far enough to find unclaimed territory without needing repairs.

  7. It would work, but it's not what I would use.

  8. Should my land claim then be found by looking at the live map?
  9. You should check the map and see if anyone else has built near your site, then post on the forums with a title of [Claim] *your outpost name* and then a staff member will ask you to PM the coords to a locked chest at your area then say you're good to go or tell you to move because someone else is too close and touch work from there
