This thread might be dead, it might not... that's not really the point of this post. Thread views do not measure when a thread is "dead" or not. Whether a thread is considered dead is based off of replies. If a thread is still getting replies other than bumps, it can be considered alive; if not, it's dead.

Once someone views the thread, it adds a view. Out of those 557 people, they all could have visited today, which means the thread is still alive, or you might have had no new views for a week, so this thread is dead. There's no way to know.

It's about clicks and responses. Views cannot ever measure a thread's activity. Look at any newsletter from a year ago. It likely has more views than this. Is it dead? It sure should be.
