A "riddle"-like phrase will be typed into chat by me and you will respond with what block or item you think the riddle is talking about! Each game may have a theme to it (for example, if the theme is blocks, you shouldn't guess items like raw fish or a sword ), but some may not be limited at all. The riddles are always about Minecraft items, though! Example Riddle: Have no fear as long as I have power; at night, I'll enable your lights. Answer: Daylight Sensor Please note that this is a rather experimental event, but I try to be as detailed as necessary in the riddles to point you toward the block/item that is the answer. All rules will be explained before the game begins in-game, but essentially, you're guessing for a Minecraft block/item (or something else, depending on the theme, if there is one!) based on a riddle I give you. Whoever answers correctly first gets a point and the first person to get to a specified number of points (usually 3 or 5) wins that round. When you win a round, you'll receive a rupee prize (usually 5k rupees, but this can change). If you guess, or blatantly admit to guessing before I've even asked the question, I WILL ignore your answer. That means if you repeatedly say the same thing when I ask questions, even if it happens to be right at some point, I will ignore it. If you say ____ or ____, I will ignore it. There is a difference between guesses and genuine attempts at getting the question right. If you have won a round that day (the 5,000 rupee prize) you may still participate in later rounds, but your answers will not be taken into consideration. So you can still answer questions/riddles, but even if you get it right first, you won't get the point. Where is it?On SMP9 at /v +riddle, or /v Slvr 4. We had tons of fun today at the event! I had a lot of fun hosting it and will definitely be doing so again in the future some time! For reference, today's event, we had 2 rounds. Every time someone correctly guessed the block/item first they received 1 point, and the first person to get to 3 points won the round. Each round's winner won 5k rupees, with those that got at least 1 point got 1k. Here were today's riddles! Round 1 1. Gray all over, found underground, a common cover, which requires a silken touch to compound - Stone 2. Rough like stones, brown like dirt, I craft to four smooth clones, and can be crafted by flakes and a fellow like chert! - Granite 3. Brown, brown, brown, and all around; I can support life and grass with light, but can endure no strife! - Dirt 4. Buried under many conifers I sit, waiting for a silken touch; you won't acquire me without it! - Podzol 5. 2 cobble, 2 quartz, and this marbled stone could be all yours! - Diorite Winners: 2True4u (3), Sefl51 (1), and TheRedstoneShop (1) Round 2 1. I obey gravity most of the time, and my best friends are the water and the cactus; oh, and here the Husks climb! - Sand (I would have accepted Red Sand for this also, but 2True4u answered with Sand first) 2. Yellow and wet, behind the guardians I sit, waiting for a brave soul to come get! - Sponge/Wet Sponge 3. Although I am not royalty, I may be a king or queen, and I bring you home with steadfast loyalty. - Bed 4. I make it hard to walk, I am found below... but crops will still grow! - Soul Sand 5. Smooth to the touch, brown on all six sides, we come with four in a clutch, and aren't natural occurrence! - Polished Granite (I feel like this one needs a little explanation; polished granite crafts 4 blocks at a time, and while regular granite can be found naturally generated, you won't find polished granite anywhere (...as far as I'm aware of o.o)) 6. With access to the sky, I bring light and power, sitting atop a shiny pyre. - Beacon Winners: Sefl51 (3), ZanDarkin (1), HollyV (1), and 2True4u (1) The rules may not be the same at events in the future (the number of points needed to win might change depending on the number of players present, or the amount of rupees given out for the winner) but the rules will always be similar.
Aw! Sorry to hear that... That is where I built the residence for this event. I may host it at some other locations on the other SMPs at a later date though.

I want to make two new rules very clear, and I'll add them to the OP as well, and I'm going to make some modifications to the residence before the next event. These rules are in place to try to vary the winners and keep people who aren't really trying to play the game (and just want to earn a quick buck) from winning. I'm forged in fire, though I never tire, no matter how many look through my six clear sides. - Glass (SkeleTin007) 2. Glinting and gleaming, made of nine rare gems, I'm blue and glittering, with riches nobody condemns. - Diamond Block (ZanDarkin) 3. I stand in pillars, I ignore wood, stone, gold, and iron; you wish that for me you had drillers, because I'm valuable to many a'buyer. - Obsidian (Sadie_dog) 4. I'm rare, and come in spikes; I can withstand the heat of the Nether's wear and tear, but the heat, to me, has few likes. - Packed Ice (crystaldragon13) 5. Crouch on me, or you may be burned. Now, watch and see how I keep the lights dimmed. - Magma Block/Magma (Sadie_dog) 6. Made of sticks and friends with the sand, I'm a plant with old tricks. - Dead Bush (SliceOfRhyBread) 7. I sing, but not for long; with a diamond, I ring, and with 8 wood I stand strong. - Jukebox (SliceOfRhyBread) 8. I'm purple and precious, I grow in the End, but don't break my stem or it'll be a mess of fruit most atrocious! - Chorus Flower (SliceOfRhyBread) 9. I'm purple by default, and split down the middle; just remember to use a pick to take me with you! - Shulker Box (SkeleTin007) 10. Slvr you should have your character where a question mark outfit to really be like the Riddler. Then you can half enderman, half evil riddling supervillain xD
