Guys, I hate to be a downer, but from some minor research, the only real recent development I could find is that Valve filled for a Trademark of Half-Life 3 in Europe. They haven't said anything conclusive about the actual game being developed, it might only be that they want to protect the name of it for themselves in case they ever decide to make it.
